The Project for Construction of Water Supply System

The Government of Japan helps Barangay Cacaoiten in Mangatarem, Pangasinan provide potable drinking water for its people through "The Project for Construction of water Supply System". A Level II water system consisting of two water tanks, a 1.2 kilometer pipeline and 15 tapstands will be constructed to supply potable water to some 90 households. Barangay Cacaoiten residents currently get its water from sources more than a kilometer away from their houses. And since these are open water sources, they are prone to water-borne diseases.
