JENESYS2017 Language and Culture Delegates Set For One-Of-A-Kind Snowland Experience in Japan

21 university students studying Japanese will represent the Philippines in Japan for a week under the JENESYS2017 Japanese Language Communication/Exchange in Japanese Culture Program on February 6-13, 2018.

A unique opportunity to immerse in Japan’s language and culture during winter awaits the delegates in the form of fun-filled lectures, workshops, and sightseeing activities in cultural and historical sites. Host families will also accommodate the delegates in homestays once they transfer to Yamagata Prefecture from Tokyo via the Shinkansen.

To prepare the delegates for this one-of-a-kind experience, the National Youth Commission (NYC) held a Pre-Departure Orientation last February 5, 2018 at the NYC Office in Quezon City. Commissioner-at-Large Paul Anthony Pangilinan opened the program and Director Ken Nakamura of the Japan Information and Culture Center of the Embassy of Japan graced the orientation with his inspiring message.
