Application for the 60 Years Philippines-Japan Friendship Guideline to Apply for Endorsement of Events

In celebration of the 60 Years of Philippines-Japan Friendship, the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines and the Philippine Embassy in Japan is inviting organizers of Philippines-Japan related events to apply for the endorsement of their event.
 

Approval Criteria

a. The project should be held in Japan or in the Philippines within the period from 1st May to 31st December 2016.
b. The activities of the project are considered to contribute to the promotion of exchange between Japan and the Philippines in
  various areas (culture, art, science, sport, tourism, economy, etc.), encouraging mutual understanding and strengthening friendly
  relations.
c. The project should have a clear purpose and have detailed and highly feasible plans.
d. The project does not have commercial purposes and not contribute to the profit of specific organizations.
e. The execution of the project including expense should be the sole responsibility of the organizers.
f. The organizer of the project should observe the laws and regulations of the location and refrain from infringing the rights
  (including copyright) of other parties.
g. The project should refrain from promoting specific ideology on religion, and it should not infringe the public order or decent
  customs.
h. The organizer must not have been involved in activities that have been inimical to the relationship of Japan and the Philippines in
  the past.

Privileges of Endorsed Events

1. The organizers of endorsed events are entitled to use the title of the 60 Years Philippines-Japan Friendship and the official logo
  in publicity materials (i.e. posters, pamphlets, website, signboards, banners, etc).
2. Endorsed events will be listed on the official calendar of the 60 Years Philippines-Japan Friendship in the Embassy of Japan in
  the Philippines' website.

  c. Supporting documents indicating regular activities of the event organizer

Application Procedures

1.

Submission of Application Form and Letter of Commitment, Budget Sheet and supporting documents via email, fax or post, one

  month before the event.
2. Screening of application.
3. Results to be sent to the organizer. Endorsed events will be provided with the Letter of Endorsement and logo. 
   
NOTES
1. Application forms will not be returned. Applications should be submitted in advance with note that screening process will require at
  least one month minimum.
2. Any inquiries regarding the screening process will not be responded.
3. Organizers of endorsed events will bear the entire responsibility for the implementation including financial costs and public any
  advertisement. The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines and and the Embassy of Philippines in Japan will bear no responsibility for
  consequences related to the event.
4. In any case should the event be cancelled or a substantive change be made, the organizers should promptly inform the relevant
  circumstances to the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines and the Embassy of the Philippines in Japan.
5.  In any case should the event be cancelled or the substantive change does not comply with the criteria for endorsement, the Embassy
  of Japan in the Philippines or the Embassy of the Philippines in Japan may cancel the endorsement. 
6. Organizers of events must not use the logo in other events hosted by the organizer without appropriate authorization.
7. Organizers are required to submit a summary of the event to the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines or the Embassy of the
  Philippines in Japan.
