During hot seasons, they were exposed to the heat of the sun, which made it difficult for the students to concentrate on classes. Now with a newly constructed building with five classrooms, they can enjoy a more comfortable learning environment.
This project has been implemented under the J-BIRD or Japan-Bangsamoro Initiatives for Reconstruction and Development. The Government of Japan launched J-BIRD in December 2006 as part of its commitment to support peace and development efforts in Mindanao. J-BIRD has assisted construction and/or rehabilitation of school buildings, training centers, and water supply systems through the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects. These projects amount to a total of 238 Million Yen (approximately 2.1 Million USD).
