The Congratulatory Message of Prime Minister Naoto Kan

to President-Elect Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III

 

 

 

On June 9, Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan issued a congratulatory message to Senator Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III, who was officially proclaimed the next President of the Republic of the Philippines in the joint session of the Senate and the House of Representatives. In his message, the Prime minister expressed the Japanese Government's wish to do its utmost to cooperate with the Philippines in efforts toward further stability and progress for the country, as well as his delight in working together with the next President toward the strategic partnership for the future between the two countries.

 

Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs Katsuya Okada and Japanese Ambassador Makoto Katsura also extended their heartfelt congratulations to President-Elect Aquino and Vice President-Elect Jejomar C. Binay.
