Closing of Japan's Honorary
Consulate General Office in Baguio

On August 20, 2010, Japan's Honorary Consulate General Office in Baguio was closed in accordance with the completion of Mr. Carlos B. Teraoka's duties as Honorary Consul General of Japan. Mr. Teraoka has been Honorary Consul General of Japan for 15 years since 1995. He has been pro-active not only for protecting and promoting the rights and benefits of Japanese nationals but also promoting good and friendly relations between Japan and the Philippines.
In order to pay respect and praise to Mr. Teraoka for his contributions, Ambassador Makoto Katsura hosted a Reception on August 20, 2010 at the Baguio Country Club Ballroom. There were more than 100 guests in attendance including Benguet Governor Nestor Fongwan and Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan.
In the reception, there were speeches praising Mr. Carlos Teraoka's achievements by Ambassador Katsura, Mayor Domogan of Baguio City and other messages from representatives of various Philippines-Japan related organizations etc. were presented.
