Ambassador Benjamin SANVICTORES, President and Chairman of NCF
Ms. Beatriz MOJICA , Principal of NCF
Esteemed officers, teachers and staff of NCF
Ladies and gentlemen,
It is a great pleasure and honor for me to join you today on the occasion of the inauguration of the “Project for the Improvement of Japanese Language Equipment of Nihongo Center Foundation” funded under the Grant Assitance for Cultural Grassroots Projects by the Government of Japan.
It is heartening to witness that the grant contract Ambassador Benjamin Sanvictores and I signed in February last year has materialized and effected the development of NCF's e-Learning Program which will upgrade the capability of NCF and make Japanese language learning more accessible to students with various needs.
The Embassy of Japan places a great importance to promoting Japanese language learning because we believe that it is one of the key elements in cementing the friendship, understanding and cooperation between our peoples and our two countries. In this light, I would like to laud NCF, for conceptualizing this project that takes advantage of advances in technology to reach out to a greater number of Filipinos who wish to learn Japanese or Nihongo.
On this occasion, I would also like to make a special mention to the Philippines-Japan Friendship Foundation (PJFF) for its constant support and assistance to the management and operation of NCF since its inception in 1997.
In closing, I would like to express my hope that all the officers, teachers and staff of NCF will sustain your enthusiasm and dedication in providing quality Japanese language learning among students and continue to encourage more Filipinos to learn Nihongo.
Thank you for your kind attention. Maraming salamat po.
