The JICC Library is located on the second floor of the
Embassy of Japan building. It houses approximately 7,000
English and Japanese books and 500 video materials, all
about Japan, its land, people, government, culture and
society. A small collection of current magazines and newspapers,
also in English and Japanese, is also available for reference.
Our Publications
The JICC publishes the Japan Bulletin, a quarterly newsmagazine
with a circulation of 4,000 copies per issue. It is distributed
free of charge to different Philippine government offices
and agencies, the diplomatic community, media organizations,
business corporations, educational and cultural institutions
and the general public. The Bulletin provides information
on recent activities of the JICC and the Embassy of Japan,
Japan-related news from the Philippines and Japan, as
well as newsworthy articles from other sources.
Other Publications
Other printed materials from Japan are distributed regularly
through the JICC. These include Pacific Friend, Nipponia,
Look Japan and Japan Echo. These publications also give
up-to-date information on Japanese society and culture.
Video Materials
A video selection
VHS or DVD format are available for borrowing for educational
purposes. These video materials feature various topics
on Japan including culture, politics, economics, business,
sports and others. Items can be borrowed upon reservation
through a phone call to our library staff.
