2nd Batch of Candidate Caregivers

Sent Off to Caregiver Schools in Japan

 

 

 

Minister Akio Isomata, Embassy of Japan's Minister for Economic Affairs, attended the Send-Off Ceremony for the 2 nd Batch of Filipino Candidate Caregivers bound for caregiver schools in Japan under the Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA) on 24 September 2010 at the HEDC Building in UP Diliman.

 

These Filipino candidate caregivers under the School Track stipulated in JPEPA will take a two- to four-year school course in Japan . Upon their arrival in Japan , all candidates will undergo six months of Japanese language training with the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS). Thereafter, they will enroll in caregiver schools in Japan and will be qualified as careworkers upon completion of the course. The 2 nd batch of candidates is scheduled to leave for Japan on 26 September 2010.

 

The first batch of candidates under the school track went to Japan in September 2009 and is currently enrolled in caregiver schools. JPEPA has been effective since December 11, 2008.
