Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Band and Philippine Coast Guard Symphonic Band in Concert |

The “Philippines-Japan MusiKaibigan”, the joint concert of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Band and the Philippine Coast Guard Symphonic Band will be held on Wednesday, May 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the Minor Basilica of San Sebastian, Manila.
This performance is part of the goodwill visit of the Japanese Maritime Self- Defense Forces to foster appreciation for Japanese culture among Filipinos. Through music, these two symphonic bands aspire to promote cultural exchange and further enhance the cordial relationship between Japan and the Philippines.
Twenty members from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Forces and thirty five members of the Philippine Coast Guard Symphonic Band will render melodious pieces in this memorable evening.
Witness their remarkable repertoire of classics, including select Japanese and Filipino pieces like “A Song for Japan” and a medley of “Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika” and “Anak” and experience the high quality ensemble in this world-class performance. This event is organized by the Embassy of Japan, along with the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, Philippine Coast Guard Symphonic Band, The San Sebastian Parish and San Sebastian Basilica Conservation and Development Foundation, Inc.
