Ambassador Toshinao Urabe hosted a reception at his residence to celebrate the 58 th Japan Self-Defense Forces Day on July 5, 2012.
Present were Philippines officials, members of the Diplomatic Corps, and the Foreign Attachés Corps.
In his speech, Ambassador Urabe expressed his deep appreciation for the Filipino people's friendship and the smooth relations between Japan and the Philippines, as well as his optimism that these warm relations will become even stronger through more dialogues, exchanges, and exposure to each other's culture.
