Embassy of Japan Joins Merry Treats at Rizal Park

for Underprivileged Kids

 

 

 

It’s the most wonderful time of the year as cosplay organizations, manga and anime fans converge for the much-awaited event,“Merry Treats at Rizal Park!: Mascorade and A CausetoPlay” on December 1, 2012, Saturday, the Rizal Park, Manila.

 

In cooperation with the Department of Tourism, National Parks Development Committee, and the Embassy of Japan, “Merry Treats at Rizal Park!: Mascorade and A CausetoPlay” is an event organized for the benefit of underprivileged children. It will be highlighted by a colorful mascot parade and a fashion show by cosplayers. Children of all ages will be treated to enjoyable and interactive activities such as face painting, balloon twisting, magic show and storytelling session. There will also be a free-screening of the anime film Plan Zet at the Open Air Auditorium in the evening. Participants will also get a chance to win Canon IXUS camera and other exciting prizes!

For the kids to enjoy and appreciate Japan’s diverse culture, the Embassy of Japan will line up exciting activities like storytelling, origami demonstration, yukata-wearing session and a diorama exhibit of famous tourist spots in Japan.

 

This event is co-presented by Japan Foundation, CoMix Wave Films, Film Development Council of the Philippines, Stagecraft International, Green Energy, Manila Ocean Park, UniSilver Time, Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass, MAPECON Philippines, Anime Alliance, Evening Tea Time, Harbour View Restaurant and Mario D’ boro.
