1. From January 9 through 14, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Singapore, Brunei Darussalam and Australia.
2. On January 10, Minister Kishida is scheduled to meet with H.E. Albert F. Del Rosario, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, in Manila. Minister Kishida is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Benigno S. Aquino III, President of the Republic of the Philippines.
3. On January 11, Minister Kishida is scheduled to meet with H.E. Mr. K. Shanmugam, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law of the Republic of Singapore, in Singapore. Minister Kishida is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore.
4. On January 12, Minister Kishida is scheduled to meet with His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam, in Bandar Seri Begawan.
5. On January 13, Minister Kishida is scheduled to meet with the Senator Hon. Bob Carr, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Australia in Sydney.
6. This visit offers an opportunity for close communication with each country at foreign ministerial level, which will strengthen the bilateral relations in a wide range of areas.
