The second Japan-Philippines Dialogue on Maritime and Oceanic Affairs |

1. On February 22, 2013, the second Japan-Philippines Dialogue on Maritime and Oceanic Affairs will be held in Manila, the Philippines.
2. From the Japanese side, Mr. Kenji Kanasugi, Deputy Director-General, Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and the representatives from MOFA, the Secretariat of the Headquarters for Ocean Policy of the Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministry of Defense and the Coast Guard will attend the dialogue. From th8 e Philippine side, Mr. Gilberto G.B. Asuque, Assistant Secretary, Office of the Undersecretary for Special and Ocean Concerns, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Atty. Henry Bensurto, Special Assistant, Office of the Undersecretary for Policy, DFA, and the representatives from DFA, the Department of National Defense, the Philippine Coast Guard, Maritime Industry Authority, Maritime Mapping and Resource Information Authority and the Department of Agriculture will attend the dialogue.
3. In the dialogue, Japan and the Philippines will exchange view on bilateral maritime cooperation as well as regional and global maritime issues.
