The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines invites all Filipino cosplayers to the 2013 Mini Cosplay Contest where you can dress to impress and dress to express your passion for Japanese culture. Open your wardrobe and come in your best Japanese pop culture inspired attire for the celebration of the 40 th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation and the Philippines-Japan Friendship Month this 2013.
The 2013 Mini Cosplay Contest, together with the J-Pop Anime Singing Contest, will be on July 20, 2013 (Saturday) at SM Mall. It is for Filipino cosplayers who can portray and bring to life their favorite manga, anime, movies, TV series, J-Pop, and J-Rock idols perfectly. Two categories are available to interested participants, the cloth category and mecha category.
In order to join, participants must complete the following requirements:
Application form
Size 2x2 ID picture
Full body photograph dressed in chosen costume
Photo of the character being portrayed
The Mini Cosplay Contest application form is available at the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) Library or you may download it at www.ph.emb-japan.go.jp.
All the requirements may be submitted personally or via courier to JICC, Embassy of Japan, 2627 Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. The deadline for the submission of entries is on June 21, 2013.
