Ambassador Toshinao Urabe led the celebration of the 59th anniversary of the Japan Self-Defense Forces Day by hosting a reception at his residence on June 27, 2013.
Present were Philippines officials, members of the Diplomatic Corps, and the Foreign Attachés Corps.
In a brief message, Ambassador Urabe repeated about the fruitful meeting between Japanese Defense Minister Mr. Onodera and Defense Secretary Gazmin and conveyed his optimism over the continuing warm and very dynamic relations between Japan and the Philippines over a broad range of concerns. He also invited everyone to join Japan in this year's celebration of the 40th anniversary of its friendship with the ASEAN.
