Young Leaders' Program 2014 Now Accepting Applicants

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN for the 2014 Young Leaders’ Program (YLP).

Since 2001, the Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) has been nurturing promising young Filipinos through its 1-year academic scholarship program in Japan. Introduced by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology (MEXT), YLP strives to create a wide-ranging human network and establish friendly relationships among the leaders in Asia while improving the quality of policy planning in the participating countries.

YLP offers four (4) courses: Business Administration, Law, Local Governance, and School of Government.   Classes for all courses are held primarily in English.  A master’s degree will be conferred by the participating university upon the successful completion of the program.

Interested applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic performance, and must be highly proficient in English.  Depending on the course, applicants must be 35 or 40 years old and below, with at least 3 – 5 years of work experience

The screening of applicants is based on the endorsement of the ‘recommending authorities’ for each course.
