Congratulatory Message of Japanese Ambassador Toshinao Urabe

on the Signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro

 

 

On the occasion of the singing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front today, Ambassador Urabe issued a congratulatory message for this historical development toward a just and lasting peace in Mindanao.

 

  The Ambassador’s message is as follows;

 

 STATEMENT OF AMBASSADOR URABE ON THE SIGNING OF THE COMPREHENSIVE AGREEMENT ON THE BANGSAMORO BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND THE MORO ISLAMIC LIBERATION FRONT

 

Ambassador Urabe, on behalf of the Government and people of Japan, warmly congratulates the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front on the signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) today.  This development marks another milestone toward a just and lasting peace in Mindanao.

 

The Government of Japan commends the efforts made by the parties concerned and strongly hopes that this historical event will give further impetus to the quest for peace and development in Mindanao.

The Government of Japan welcomes this development and will continue to support the Peace Process for the benefit of all in the Philippines.
