Ambassador Kazuhide Ishikawa hosted a reception on the occasion of the national day of Japan on Wednesday at his residence in Makati City. The reception was attended by Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario, Senate President Franklin Drilon and other distinguished guests.
Ambassador Ishikawa welcomed guests and stressed on the continued cooperation, support and the significant developments between Japan and the Philippines. He mentioned that in the summit meeting at the State Visit to Japan of His Excellency President Benigno Aquino III, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and President Aquino jointly declared that the relationship between the Philippines and Japan has now entered the stage of Strengthened Strategic Partnership. He further noted that through a bilateral meeting during the APEC Leaders’ Meeting in Manila, both leaders have had the opportunity to reaffirm deepened bilateral ties between the two countries.
Following a welcome remarks from Ambassador Ishikawa, Secretary Albert Del Rosario delivered toast remarks expressing hope for the continued good health and well-being of His Majesty, the strengthening of the Strategic Partnership between the Philippines and Japan and the enduring friendship between the Filipino and Japanese people.
Also at the reception are Japanese companies who have set up their booth for the promotion of their products, technology and services.
