21 Japanese high school students from the Nagasaki Prefectural Seiryo High School are set to visit the Philippines on February 1-9, 2016 under the JENESYS2015 Programme.
The JENESYS Programme is an initiative launched by the Government of Japan to strengthen mutual understanding between Japan and the Philippines through their respective youths.
This year, the programme's theme and focus is the commemoration of the 70th year of the end of World War II. In line with this, the Japanese students will be conducting special presentations and performances for their Philippine counterparts during the school exchange program on February 4 to 6. Their scheduled activities will also include visits to the Japanese Memorial Garden in Caliraya and battle site of Corregidor, as well as a home-visit to a Filipino family.
