In celebration of the 60th Year of Philippines-Japan Friendship, the Embassy of Japan and The Japan Foundation, Manila, in cooperation with various organizations, are holding the 2016 J-pop Anime Singing Contest Grand Finals on July 23, 2016 (Saturday).
Now on its 8th Year, the 2016 J-pop Anime Singing Contest aims to further promote Japanese language and culture appreciation among Filipinos and to strengthen the longstanding friendship between Japan and the Philippines. Exciting prizes from our sponsors await this year’s winners including an all- expense-paid trip to Japan.
The contest is open to all Filipino amateur solo singers, who are at least 18 years of age as of July 23, 2016. Interested applicants must submit the following:
1. filled-up application form
2. current photo
3. a short write-up about the participant (50-100 words)
4. a demo CD containing an audio file in MP3 format containing their rendition of their favorite J-pop songs. J-pop songs must be in Japanese and by a Japanese artist.
5. a print-out of the song lyrics with the name of the original performing artist/s

Entries should be submitted personally or through mail to the Japan Information and Culture Center, 2627 Roxas Blvd., Pasay City on or before June 24, 2016 (Friday).
