2nd Batch of Candidate Nurses and Caregivers

Sent Off to Japan

 

 

 

 

Japanese Ambassador Makoto Katsura led the Send-Off Ceremony for the 2 nd Batch of Candidate Nurses and Caregivers to Japan under the Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA) on the Movement of Natural Persons Employment Scheme on 7 May 2010 at the POEA Head Office.

 

A total of 118 Filipino Candidates: 46 Nurses and 72 Caregivers, comprise the 2 nd Batch. 116 Candidates will depart for Japan on 9 May 2010 and will undergo six-month Japanese language training. The remaining 2 Candidate Caregivers, who have acquired higher Japanese language proficiency, do not take the six-month language training and will depart for Japan at the beginning of June 2010.

 

This event marks the second year of this scheme under JPEPA. JPEPA itself has been effective since December 11, 2008.- END-
