A PUBLIC REMINDER ABOUT THE
JAPANESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP

It has come to the attention of the Government of Japan of an organization which sends out e-mails encouraging people to apply to the Japanese Government Scholarship. According to the reports from the Japanese Embassies in Africa, this organization has its own website promoting the scholarship and charges payment from people expressing their interest in applying for the scholarship.
Please be informed that the Japanese Government Scholarship is exclusively handled by the Japanese Government through Japanese Embassies (or Consulate Generals in some countries) or universities in Japan . Furthermore, please be advised that the Japanese Government Scholarship application is free of charge .
We urge the public to be wary of these questionable announcements regarding the Japanese Government Scholarship. Information about the scholarship is available from Japanese Embassies and Consulate Generals.

Free scholarship consultations are held at the library of the Embassy of Japan every Friday at 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 2:00-4:30 PM. Interested individuals are requested to bring a valid ID to enter the embassy premises.
