YOUNG LEADERS' PROGRAM
YOUNG LEADERS’ PROGRAM (YLP)
Applications for the 2022 Young Leaders Program are now CLOSED.
- Foster future national leaders in the countries of Asia and other regions
- Create comprehensive human networks among the leaders of nations
- Establish friendly relationships among the countries involved, including Japan
- Improve the quality of policy planning in the participating countries
To qualify for the program, interested applicants must be:
- A Filipino citizen
- A Bachelor’s degree holder with excellent academic records
- Highly proficient in English
- Under 40 years old
- Employed with at least 3-5 years of work experience
All YLP applications must be coursed through the specific recommending authorities for each course.
The deadline of application submissions will depend on each recommending authority.

※All application documents must be submitted to the corresponding Recommending authorities.
※To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Japan is currently restricting the entry of newcomers from all countries and regions. Under these circumstances, family members of the scholar are not automatically allowed to accompany them as dependents. It is a prerequisite that the host university agrees to accept the family members and is prepared to accept them. In addition, priority is given to the scholar's entry into Japan.
