Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP) Promotion in League of Municipalities of the Philippines – Visayas Cluster

Third Secretary Atsushi Kobayashi attended the Visayas Island Cluster Conference of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) to promote “The Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP)1last September 21, 2017 held in Cebu City. The event was attended by almost three hundred (300) Municipal Mayors from various municipalities in Visayas Islands.
 
In his opening address, Mr.Kobayashi mentioned that EOJ has implemented more than 500 projects in the Philippines, which provided facilities and equipment for education, health, agriculture and capacity building under the GGP. He emphasized that the promotion is a chance for the participants to understand the GGP scheme as well as assurance of Japan’s continuous participation in promoting socio-economic assistance in the country.
 
After the presentation, participants visited the booth installed at the venue to make clarifications and ask questions about GGP. Many of them have expressed their interest in GGP and want to improve the condition of their communities through this scheme.
