Ambassador Haneda's Courtesy Call on Tourism Secretary Puyat

Ambassador Koji Haneda paid a courtesy call on newly-appointed Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat on June 5^th.  Ambassador Haneda congratulated the new Secretary on her appointment and they pledged to intensify cooperation to boost the tourism between Japan and the Philippines.  Both officials are pleased with the increasing number of travelers between the two countries.  Filipino tourists to Japan quintupled over the past 5 years, contributing to the closer ties between the two countries.
