Ambassador Haneda attends launch of PAL's Manila-Sapporo direct flight

On December 7, Ambassador Haneda attended the sendoff ceremony for the inaugural flight of Philippine Airlines’ (PAL) new service between Manila and Sapporo, the capital city of Hokkaido Island in northern Japan.
It is the first direct flight from the Philippines to Hokkaido, one of the most popular destinations in Japan among Filipinos for its promise of winter wonderland and annual snow festival.
In his speech, Ambassador Haneda expressed his gratitude to PAL and related officials for their efforts to create the new route with hopes that it will further promote travel and tourism between both countries.
