Celebration of the Conferment of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star, on Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Corporation Chairman Emeritus

On December 5, Ambassador Koji Haneda welcomed Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala at his residence to celebrate the conferment of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star, which is one of the highest honor given to the private sector.
 
Ambassador Haneda said, “We truly value his contributions and share in his joy for being awarded this honored decoration. His contributions include:
－Clear foresight to establish Laguna Technopark with a Japanese Group, which led to a lot of investments from Japan; and
－The various projects he engaged in with Japan covering wide-ranging industries, including manufacturing, finance, and services, as well as cultural initiatives.
We hope he will continue to promote close relations between our two countries”.
 
Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala was conferred the decoration by the Government of Japan last May 8 at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
