Signing of the Exchange of Notes for the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) Project

On 16 May 2019, Japanese Ambassador Koji Haneda and Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr  signed and exchanged notes on the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) Project.
 
The Exchange of Notes signed will provide 328 million yen (approximately 153 million pesos*) to cover maximum 22 JDS fellows (20 master course fellows and 2 doctor course fellows) consisting of Filipino young officials from various governmental institutions entering Japan.  The project aims to enhance the JDS fellows’ expertise in their respective fields and to help build a pool of future Filipino leaders who will greatly contribute to the country’s overall economic development by returning to and working in the Philippines.
