Minister Yamamoto’s visit to Cotabato

From 16 to 18 October 2019, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission Yamamoto Yasushi of the Embassy of japan visited Cotabato.
At courtesy visit to BTA key persons; Bangsamoro Parliament speaker Balindon, Education Minister Iqbal and Finance Minister Guerra, and exchanged views on future cooperation of BTA and Japan. All the BTA officials expressed their gratitude to past and ongoing assistance from Japan to the region.
He also visited Assembly and Processing Area (APA) at Old capitol, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao where decommissioning of MILF combatants is implemented. He was impressed that decommissioning was well planned and organized by independent Decommissioning Body (IDB).
