Initiating ILO project “Bringing back jobs safely under the COVID-19 crisis in the Philippines: Rebooting small and informal businesses safely and digitally.”

In a virtual ceremony on July 15, 2021, Ambassador KOSHIKAWA Kazuhiko attended the launching of the new ILO project dubbed:  “Bringing back jobs safely under the COVID-19 crisis in the Philippines: Rebooting small and informal businesses safely and digitally.” Other attendees who also gave their respective video messages were DOLE Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III, DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez and DICT Secretary Gregorio Honasan.
 
With a funding of US$2.2 million from the Government of Japan, this initiative seeks to support micro, small and medium enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic through safer, more digitalized and productive work spaces.
 
This project is implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Government of Japan in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Information and Communications Technology and the National Anti-Poverty Commission.
