On 25 November 2023, Minister and Consul General HANADA participated in the 120th Anniversary of Japanese Migration in the Philippines and the 20th Anniversary of Philippine Nikkeijin Legal Support Center (PNLSC) and read the congratulatory message from Ambassador KOSHIKAWA. Representatives of each Nikkeijin organizations in the Philippines, members of PNLSC, Dean of Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku (MKD) and other esteemed individuals also graced the event.
On the same day, Minister and Consul General Hanada, together with Consul General ISHIKAWA in Davao, attended the general assembly of Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai Rengokai, explained about the efforts of the Japanese diplomatic missions in the Philippines and exchanged views towards the improvement of the situation of Nikkeijin.

In the message, Ambassador KOSHIKAWA extended his deep admiration and gratitude to Nikkeijin who overcame the post war hardships and adopted to new environments while maintaining connections with Japan and to PNLSC members who has been working diligently to support the identification and restoration of Japanese nationality for the 2nd Generation Nikkeijin left in the Philippines due to the war.
