Ambassador Endo pays courtesy call on the DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista

On 11 April 2024, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya paid a courtesy call on the Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista and exchanged views on Japan-Philippines economic relations.

During the meeting, Ambassador Endo expressed that Japan will continue to support the "Build Better More" policy through the development of the Manila Subway, North-South Commuter Railway, and the like. He also mentioned that Japan will work closely together to further deepen Japan-Philippines relations in a wide range of areas, including transportation, aviation and maritime affairs.

Likewise, Secretary Bautista, conveyed his appreciation for the support of the Japanese government in various transport-related areas, including the “Project on Formulation of 30-year Railway Master Plan for the Greater Capital Region”.

Both Ambassador Endo and Secretary Bautista agreed to work closely together to advance Japan-Philippines economic relations.
