Ambassador Endo pays courtesy call on the Presidential Assistant for Maritime Concerns Andres Centino

On May 29, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya paid a courtesy call on the Presidential Assistant for Maritime Concerns Andres Centino to greet him as the new Ambassador to the Philippines and to exchange views on maritime issues in the waters surrounding the country.
Ambassador ENDO expressed his intention to strengthen cooperation with the U.S. and other like-minded countries on various maritime issues, and to contribute to the maintenance and development of a free and open international order based on the rule of law.
Presidential Assistant Centino congratulated Ambassador on his new post and expressed his desire to continuously deepen the common understanding between the two countries through consistent communication between Japan and the Philippines, especially in the increasingly complex field of maritime security in the region.
Ambassador ENDO and Presidential Assistant Centino agreed to work closely together to resolve maritime issues facing the Philippines.
