Ambassador Endo pays courtesy call on DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac

On 06 June 2024, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya paid a courtesy call on Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac. During the meeting, both parties discussed on a range of topics concerning the deployment of Overseas Filipino Workers to Japan. They specifically addressed planned changes in Japan’s foreign worker acceptance schemes of Japan, the Philippines’ policies of worker protection, and possibility of future projects. The Ambassador conveyed his appreciation to the Department of Migrant Workers for establishing the Japan Desk, and expressed his hopes that this will enhance more the deployment and protection of Filipino migrant workers. Likewise, Ambassador Endo and Secretary Cacdac both committed to working closely in helping boost further the strong bilateral ties between Japan and the Philippines. -end-
