Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force participates in multilateral exercise “Exercise SAMASAMA 2024”

From 7 to 15 October, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) is participating in the multilateral exercise “Exercise SAMASAMA 2024” hosted by the United States Navy (USN) and the Philippine Navy (PN).
 
The JMSDF participation in the multilateral exercise reflects Japan’s commitment to improve its tactical capabilities and foster deeper cooperation among the participating nations.  
Since 2019, JMSDF has participated in SAMASAMA and will continue to be actively engaged in such exercises to achieve the broader goal of realizing a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
