Ambassador ENDO pays courtesy call on Senate President Francis G. Escudero
On 16 December 2024, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya paid a courtesy call on Senate President Francis G. Escudero.
Ambassador Endo expressed his deep gratitude for the Senate's concurrence of the Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA) and expressed his optimism that the agreement will facilitate the implementation of cooperative activities between the forces of the two countries, further promote security and defense cooperation, and firmly support peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
Likewise, Senate President Escudero agreed on the importance of the Japan-Philippines RAA and expressed their confidence in the past relations between the two countries, along with his hope for the further development of bilateral relations in the future.
Both have agreed to work closely together to further deepen Japan-Philippines relations as 2026 approaches, which marks the 70th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
