Japan Coast Guard provides capacity building support to the Philippine Coast Guard (Initial Investigation training, Arresting Technique training, etc.)

From 10 to 21 February 2025, the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) provided capacity building support to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) as part of Japanese Government’s ODA. 

The Mobile Cooperation Team (MCT), dispatched by the JCG, provided technical guidance to investigators and the leadership candidate staff on crime scene photography and methods of arrest etc., which are directly related to field operations. 

The JCG will continue to work with the PCG to enhance its capacity building efforts.
