High Level Meeting Japan Coast Guard and Philippine Coast Guard

On 29 April 2025, Japan Coast Guard (JCG) Commandant SEGUCHI Yoshio, held the first in-person meeting with Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant Ronnie Gil Gavan.

JCG Commandant Seguchi stated that cooperation between Japan and the Philippines coast guard agencies is extremely important in realizing a free and open Indo-Pacific region. He also noted that the meeting provided a valuable opportunity to exchange frank opinions face to face, underscoring both countries’ commitment to continue cooperating closely in the future.

JCG Commandant Seguchi and PCG Commandant Gavan concluded their meeting by reaffirming their strong commitment to work closely in order to deepen the relationship between the two coast guards.
