On 30 July 2025, Minister for Economic Affairs YOKOTA Naobumi attended the launch of DigiVacc, a set of digital applications designed to replace paper-based immunization records for children.

DigiVacc was developed and launched under “The Project for Supporting Digital Health System for Infectious Diseases Control,” funded by the Government of Japan and implemented in partnership with the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the Department of Health (DOH).
DigiVacc includes two main components. VaccTrace is a web and mobile application for healthcare providers that enables them to digitally record and track immunizations in their area. DigiVacc also includes VaccCheck, a mobile application for parents and caregivers that allows them to view and download their children's immunization records at any time, helping ensure that recommended vaccines and schedules are not missed.
The Government of Japan supports the Philippine Government in its efforts to advance digital transformation in the health sector. In his remarks, Minister Yokota expressed his hope that the digital system would help address gaps in traditional immunization data collection and support more effective planning at both local and national levels. He further shared his optimism that DigiVacc will empower health workers, parents, and caregivers to make informed decisions, ensuring that no child is left vulnerable to vaccine-preventable diseases.
