Ambassador ENDO and Madame ENDO receive a courtesy call from Miss International Philippines 2025 Ms. Myrna Esguerra

On 21 October 2025, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya and Madame ENDO Akiko warmly received a courtesy call from Miss International Philippines Ms. Myrna Esguerra at the Ambassador’s residence in Makati City.

As part of Ms. Esguerra’s preparation for the highly anticipated annual event, Ambassador and Madame Endo shared invaluable insights and knowledge about Japan’s treasured culture and traditions. Ambassador and Madame Endo also discussed the enduring partnership and recent developments in Japan and the Philippines’ relations, highlighting the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Japan-Philippines Friendship in 2026. The visit culminated in a traditional tea ceremony, led by Madame Endo, which allowed Ms. Esguerra to gain firsthand experience of the practice’s intricate preparation and deep cultural heritage. 
Crowned as Binibining Pilipinas International 2024, Ms. Myrna Esguerra is set to fly to Japan in November for the 63rd Miss International Beauty Pageant at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan to be held on November 27.
