Ambassador ENDO Kazuya attends the 10th Anniversary of SMBC Manila Branch

On 18 November 2025, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya joined the 10th anniversary celebration of the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Manila Branch. 

As a foreign bank licensed in the Philippines under the amended Foreign Bank Regulation Act in 2015, SMBC has strengthened bilateral business ties, supporting long-term investments and partnerships that drive inclusive growth.  

In his remarks, Ambassador Endo highlighted SMBC’s transformative journey, made possible through the dedication and vision of its team and their reliable partners. He emphasized that SMBC has become a trusted bridge between Japan and the Philippines, fostering innovation, economic development, and mutual prosperity.  

Ambassador Endo expressed confidence that SMBC will continue to play a vital role in deepening cooperation and opening new opportunities for Japanese and Filipino enterprises alike.
