Ambassador Endo inspects Navotas Sanitary Landfill fire site

On 11 May 2026, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya, together with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Juan Miguel Cuna, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Giovanni Lopez, and other officials, inspected the fire site in the Navotas Sanitary Landfill. 

At the site, it was confirmed that the fire had been largely contained, as announced by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. in a social media post. Ambassador Endo expressed his deep respect for all those involved in responding to the incident, and his hope for the continued safety and welfare of affected communities.
