ONE (1) LOCAL STAFF MEMBER
at the Political Section
（Researcher, Assistant to Pol)

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in international relations, diplomacy and international affairs, and political science-related course
Highly proficient in written and spoken English (Please include English language test score if previously taken, i.e., IELTS, TOEFL, etc.), Japanese language proficiency is a plus
Excellent writing composition and editing skills, including drafting of formal letters, speeches, press releases, reports, briefings, and meeting summaries
Strong research skills mainly on international affairs, maritime affairs and security, and foreign policy coupled with advanced reporting skills
Demonstrated experience in social media platforms
Ability to prepare meeting arrangements and provide logistical support to supervisors and mission delegates from the Japanese government
Strong event coordination and networking skills
Ability to multitask and perform in a multicultural environment with minimum supervision
Adept in MS Office and other basic office computer applications
More than three (3) years relevant professional experience preferred
Previous work experience with government or international organizations is a plus
