ONE (1) LOCAL STAFF MEMBER 
at the Political Section 
(Researcher, Assistant to Pol) 

 
Minimum Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in international relations, diplomacy and international affairs, and political science-related course 
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English (Please include English language test score if previously taken, i.e., IELTS, TOEFL, etc.), Japanese language proficiency is a plus  
  • Excellent writing composition and editing skills, including drafting of formal letters, speeches, press releases, reports, briefings, and meeting summaries 
  • Strong research skills mainly on international affairs, maritime affairs and security, and foreign policy coupled with advanced reporting skills 
  • Demonstrated experience in social media platforms 
  • Ability to prepare meeting arrangements and provide logistical support to supervisors and mission delegates from the Japanese government 
  • Strong event coordination and networking skills 
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a multicultural environment with minimum supervision 
  • Adept in MS Office and other basic office computer applications 
  • More than three (3) years relevant professional experience preferred 
  • Previous work experience with government or international organizations is a plus
