Ambassador ENDO Kazuya attends the 45th PJFC Awarding Ceremony

On 15 July 2026, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya attended the 45th Philippines-Japan Friendship Celebration (PJFC) and Medal of Merit Conferment Ceremony organized by the Philippines-Japan Society (PJS).  

In this enduring tradition, the PJS honors remarkable individuals each year for their contributions in enhancing Japan and the Philippines’ mutual bond. This year’s awardee, Mr. OGATA Kenjiro, Academic Advisor of the Philippines Institute of Japanese Language and Culture Foundation, Inc. and the Nihongo Center Foundation, Inc., was warmly feted in this esteemed gathering.  
 
During his speech, Ambassador Endo honored Mr. Ogata’s lifelong contributions and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the PJS and its partners for their continued support. He also commended the recent progress in Japan-Philippine relations, fittingly timed with the 70th Anniversary of Japan-Philippines Friendship this 2026.
