2026/8/3

In his remarks, Ambassador Endo extended his congratulations to The Japan Foundation, Manila and Film Concert Philippines for organizing another successful event that continues to foster friendship and cultural appreciation between Japan and the Philippines. He also expressed his hope that “opportunities like these will continue to touch the hearts of a greater Filipino audience.”

Co-presented by Film Concerts PH and The Japan Foundation, Manila, this concert is a part of the commemorative events marking the 70th Anniversary of Japan-Philippines Friendship. Officially endorsed by Studio Ghibli, the program brought to life the beloved original scores composed by Joe Hisaishi for the studio’s iconic animated classics, such as Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Kiki’s Delivery Service.
Led by maestro Gerard Salonga, the concert also featured the remarkable talents of the 83-piece Filharmonika Orchestra, including violinist Diomedes Saraza Jr., and pianist Nikko Rivera.
