Ambassador Endo pays farewell call on DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac

On 17 August 2026, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya paid a farewell call on Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac in Makati City.

During the meeting, Ambassador Endo expressed his sincere appreciation for Secretary Cacdac’s dedication and close cooperation in strengthening Japan-Philippines relations, particularly in promoting the welfare and protection of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) deployed to Japan.

Secretary Cacdac, together with officials of the DMW, hosted a farewell lunch in honor of Ambassador Endo, conveying their best wishes and appreciation for his contributions to the enduring friendship between Japan and the Philippines.

Also in attendance were DMW Undersecretaries Felicitas Q. Bay and Jainal T. Rasul, Jr.; Assistant Secretaries Levinson C. Alcantara and Julyn S. Ambito-Fermin; Japan Desk Coordinator and Director Maria Teresa D. Delos Santos; and First Secretary YAFUNE Junya of the Embassy of Japan.

Both sides reaffirmed the strong and longstanding relations between the two countries and exchanged views on ongoing cooperation concerning the recruitment of OFWs to Japan.
