On 25 August 2026, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya paid a farewell call on Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro.
Ambassador Endo expressed his sincere gratitude for Secretary Lazaro’s leadership and steadfast partnership in further deepening Japan-Philippines relations.
Secretary Lazaro, in turn, conveyed her appreciation for Ambassador Endo’s contributions to strengthening the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They also exchanged views on a range of issues including Japan-Philippines cooperation in the region.
