Ambassador ENDO Kazuya pays farewell call on Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian

On 20 August 2026, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya paid a farewell call on Senate President Sherwin T. Gatchalian, accompanied by Majority Leader and Chairman of the Philippine-Japan Parliamentary Association Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri, and Chairman of the Finance Committee Senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito.  

Ambassador Endo expressed his gratitude for the Senate’s initiatives towards advancing Japan-Philippines cooperation in security, economy, and various other areas, including the adoption of the CREATE MORE Law and the Japan-Philippines Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA). He also sought the Senate’s continued support in further deepening bilateral relations and promoting Japanese companies’ activities in the Philippines. 

Likewise, Senate President Gatchalian welcomed the growing bilateral cooperation and active parliamentary exchanges between the two countries. He also expressed his commitment to cooperating with the Government of Japan to enhance the Philippines’ business environment and encourage more opportunities for Japanese companies in the country.
