2021/11/18

Japanese Ambassador KOSHIKAWA Kazuhiko served as one of the distinguished plenary speakers at the 47th Philippine Business Conference and Expo held virtually on November 17, 2021. Ambassador Koshikawa’s talk highlighted international efforts involving the Government of Japan that promote the proper usage of critical and emerging technologies and the development of stable international supply chains, which both function as the basic premise of innovation creation.

In his presentation during the conference, Ambassador Koshikawa likewise discussed several cooperation initiatives between Japan and the Philippines that aim to boost innovation creation. These include the Asia Digital Transformation (ADX) Promotion Project, Asia Energy Transition Initiative (AETI), Green Innovation Fund, private sector cooperation on clean energy, and space development cooperation between the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA), among others. Keen to support the acceleration of innovation creation locally, Ambassador Koshikawa expressed his hope on the early passage of pending economic bills that would further facilitate the entry of more foreign investments and transfer of technology into the Philippines.

Organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the Philippine Business Conference and Expo is an annual summit that gathers business leaders and industry players across different sectors.
